how much does it cost to fix the AC in my jeep?

it's a 99 grand cherokee laredo it blows out warm air
i'm thinking i should just take it to the shop

i just wanted to know how much it i should budget for if i take it in
but the coolant i think theres a leak could that be related?
 
There is a difference between fixing the AC and just getting it working again. Most likely your refrigerant has leaked out. But a failed sensor will cause the ac not to work as will a bad compressor. If your low on refrigerant, you could refill it yourself with a kit but you won't get the right amount in and that can damage the compressor and if you don't fix the leak you will have to keep refilling it. Best thing to do would be to take it to a shop and have the system fixed. May cost more but could save you a lot of hassle in the future.
 
Depends on what is wrong with it may need a new pump or it may have a leak somewhere. Recharge it your self they sell the stuff at walmart and it should blow cold if not prolly need new pump but if it blows cold then its good unless it blows warm again shortly after that then you have a leak somewheres then take it to a shop.
