How much does it cost to end a verizon contract?

Ok my phone snapped in half no warranty or anything and my 2 year contract isnt over and my nana is going to get me a new phone for christmas! I want the droid and i know she wont buy it for $559 but i was wondering how much it would cost to cancel my contract ive been on it for like 8 months or so and some one said it was 175-5m m= months so it would cost me 130 then i can get the droid on a new contract wich would end up costing 329.99 wich she would buy so would that work?
well i was reading somewhere that i might qualify for the 1 year pricing in the lost/stolen/damage thing and it only cost about an extra 70-100 dollars on the phone
 
I'm not 100% positive about verizon, but when I had T-mobile ... it cost some where between $150 and $250 to cancel a contract early ... also this would be stated in your contract ... try looking it over ! :)
