My mare foaled out a wonderful colt lastnight at about midnight. He is really really dark, almost black but on his barrel and rump he has quite a bit of brown. i know there are a lot of possibilities - fading black, dark bay ect but i won't know until he is tested and i want the correct color on his papers.
Does anyone know roughly how much genetic testing costs in alberta? It is going to very by region and clinic obviously but i have never had any of my horses tested before so am unsure if i'm looking at a couple hundred or even thousand?
