I just took my car to the Honda dealership today because I've been having major issues with it. The diagnosis is that I need a new cylinder head. I have all 4 of the WRONG spark plugs, along with one being stuck inside. The guy said he couldn't get it out or else it would cause more damage.
The Honda dealership suggested I get the following repairs:
1 valve grind set
1 timing belt
1 water pump (all drive belts)
1 cam seal (valve cover gasket set)
1 oil pump
1 oil pan gasket
1 oil pickup gasket
AND 4 spark plugs
the total cost is $3,065.
I have 141,xxx miles on my car. I don't know THAT much about this kind of issue. I was figuring I might as well get a new engine depending if it's in that price range.
HOW MUCH DOES A NEW ENGINE COST? Please give me an EXACT cost so I can get a good idea.
P.S. I DO NOT want to get a USED OR CHEAP ENGINE. I want a BRAND NEW ENGINE that will last a long time. I don't want to keep wasting money on maintenance repairs! I'm a broke college student.
