My vehicle stopped running, I had it towed to a shop. Mechanic looked it over, I got estimate back.
To rebuild carburetor, replace thermostat, lube oil filter plugs, fuel filter, and a few other smaller things, labor cost of
$990
Guy said he could get to work on it Monday, and it might be ready for me to take Monday afternoon. $990 for one days work?
Okay, I know there are shop costs, insurance, I figure he's licensed, bonded, whatever that means. But any idea how much will go into this guys pocket out of that $990 labor charge?
I only make $10 an hour?! Likely will have to sell vehicle for next to nothing.
