How much can the court system take from a mans pay check in a divorce or

separation. I'm in North carolina? My wife invited me to leave our home. She then went to her Lawyer and is sueing me for divorce. They called for an emergency support hearing. The judge has ordered me to pay $565 a week. That leaves me with about $60 on a fourty hour pay check. I am forced to work overtime to pay my bills .... My Lawyer pretends he does not hear my question. His reply is it could be worse. I would think some guide lines are in place.
 
$565 a week?!?! Not to sound crude, but it sounds like someone is blowing someone! Check in to the laws. That can't possibly be legal unless you had some sort of seriously wacked out pre-nup. Tell your lawyer to get off his lazy arse, and do his job, or he's fired. Good luck, man. I can't see how this is legal in any way.
