I'm 5'10
175lbs
I used to be 6'0
210 lbs, And very close to 9% body fat. After a very nasty accident I spent several months in a hospital bed and lost all of my tone/muscle.
I would like to get into as "Ideal" of shape as I can by spring break, for my girlfriend, so I'm looking for advice on what I should do, and what a reasonable goal is.
For the past week I've started doing push-ups (usually 10 in the morning, 10 before bed, and 10 is about all I can manage at my current level), sit-ups (30 normal ab crunch, 30 with leg lifts), and 25 bicep curls for each arm with a 10lb dumbbell. Tomorrow I am planning on starting a jog/walking routine to get my endurance up.
For week 1, 3 days of running I'll be doing 1 minute of jogging, 1.5 of walking, 18 times, and that will be escalating. By the time Spring breaks comes around I hope to have a steady 28+ minute jog.
Like I mentioned before I'm really looking for input on what a realistic goal should be with 7 weeks to go. What my routine should be, how many days per week, when to stagger, that kind of thing.
Thank you.
I have access to my campus' rec-center which has pretty much all of the equipment I could need/want
