It affected many aspects of the country. Much food and resources had to be diverted to the war effort, so many people here went without food and such so that could be sent to the soldiers. Any products coming from countries we are at war with were embargoed and no longer allowed, the war created anti-germanism among americans and promoted racism, many people died, families lost their sons, fathers, husbands and brothers... it effects everything.
