How many weeks do you have to be for it to show up on a home pregnancy test?

My friend recently took two pregnancy tests and both came out positive but here is the problem.She just got back with her ex(the beginning of December).Would it show up that early if it was his? She was with her baby daddy(another guy) all of October but she says they didn't sleep together none in November.She even had a period in November. So whose is it likely to be?She took the test on the 19th of this month,can it show up that early if its the ex/new boyfriend???
 
If it was early enough in December that she slept with her current bf then it is probably his. Go to babycenter.com to look and see what her due date would be and when she conceived and see who she had sex with then.
