How many times have you bought the Star Wars saga?

Let's see.I first bought them (fullscreen)on video about twenty years ago. Then a few years later, they released them in widescreen.A couple of years later, they released the re-mastered versions. It seemed like ten minutes after that, they released the versions with extended scenes. And then of course,DVD.If I missed a version or two,I apologise!

That is five goddam times I bought the trilogy, and even though they have yet another outing,I'm not freakin buying it any more! George Lucas is probably already thinking of yet another way to repackage the franchise as we speak.AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once. On DVD. There was no one pointing a gun at my head but I know what you mean. There's plenty of fans out there who will buy everything they bring out. I'm waiting for the first three or episodes 1-3 to come out in a box set so I can have them.

3 times. Early 90's VHS release, late 90's Special Edition VHS released box set and the super Special Edition DVD release from 2004 box set.

Will be getting the new/old DVD releases at the weekend. Why?. Just because.

ALL HAIL GEORGE LUCAS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought the original 80's VHS, then the final remastered outing in the 90's on VHS (Still have them packaged). Then the 2004 SE DVD set, and now the latest SE & OT DVD. And I WILL buy the 6 DVD box set in 2007.

I didn't bother with the 97 Special Editions on VHS, or last year's repackaged DVD's.

I bought the original trilogy when first released on VHS. Next bought the widescreen versions. I was then lucky enough to get one of the Executioner box sets, with the scripts, stills, certificates and loaRAB of extras.

After that came the revamped versions on VHS, the prequels on individual DVD's, and lastly, the original trilogy DVD box set.

I refuse to buy the original trilogy again, as I am disgusted with Lucasfilm. When the revamped versions were released they categorically stated that these were now George Lucas' vision of how Star Wars should be, and that they would be the only versions that would EVER be made available. So after everyone has bought the last DVD box set, the originals are suddenly to be made available again.

Don't think that you're escaping with the prequel trilogy either. Apparently these are also to be re-released in a box set with a fully digitised Yoda to replace the puppet version in The Phantom Menace, and will be the only way to get this new version of TPM.

On VHS years ago, still have those (unbutchered ones). Then bought them on DVD later, watched them, sold them. I'll maybe buy the HD versions when they come out, then decide whether to keep or sell them.
