How many Theists still take the Teleological argument seriously?

Seriously? How is that argument logical in your mind?

"Oh I don't know how that works, or how it started; that must mean magic man one it!."
Argument from design, or the watchmaker argument.
You could in fact point out how many fallacies are present in my post, or you could give a solid example as to how this argument is reasonable.
That's quite the straw man you have there Dan. I never said that I believed that the universe came from nothing, I in fact concede that I don't know exactly where our universe originated. However, to accept God, you also accept the idea that a being that more than like is more complex than the universe it created, needed no creator, and I have yet to meet anyone that can explain to me how that in any way makes sense.

"The universe is so complex, it must have been created..........except for my God, who I can't prove even exists btw."

"It takes more faith to disbelieve God than it does to believe in God." That is simply false. It would be true if he demonstrated the things detailed in the Bible were indeed possible, and were in fact his doing, but in actuality we have nothing that would lead us to conclude that those things are even plausible, it would require pure faith. It doesn't requite much faith to say "I don't know." about something you aren't sure about.
