I want to knit some family members scarves for Christmas, but I'm new to this.
I have 10 mm needles and size 4/medium yarn. So far I've cast on 20 stitches and it's only about 3 inches wide when spread far apart so I don't know what to do. I'd like a sweater about 8 inches wide.
