How many Selanoids are in a 2006 Pontiac G6?

I am not a mechanic and a dealership is telling me that this part isn't in my warranty and they want me to pay $405.00 to get this replaced. The awful part is that I bought the vehicle a month ago. I bought medium coverage and I know that they should replace this at their expense.
 
solenoid is a electrical switch so explain what is happening might know where to start there is one on starter motor if thats the one just buy a starter but there is more than one type of solenoids and most warranty dont cover anything but drive train parts motor drive shaft transmission most likey not covered
bumer to bumper mighty cover everything between bumpers
