How many ride without the crash bar?

I had to take mine off because my forward controls use the same holes.
I gotta admit, I like the look better without it but I do hope I won't need it one day.

Not yet, but some day. It's on a 'wish' list. Not because I want them, but because I know people that have dropped their bikes and either has saved them mucho dinero or more.

Personally, I like the looks sans guard. But think it'll be good to have one day.

Those bars are on there for a reason!!!! And it's not cuase they make you go faster!!!!!!!! Never leave home without them.

I think not having the crashing things would be less likely to dropping your bike.
And so, those that have a series of smaller bike's, is better than buying a large bike for your first bike. If a Touring bike is your first bike, use the crash bars because you might need them.
