Tell me how and where do the religion that each of you follow began?

Who are the architects or designers of your doctrines?

Being that most religions started in another language, how many of you actually studied the languages of your doctrines?

How many of you studied the history where these doctrines originate in its respective language?

How many of you transliterated those foreign doctrines from its original language into English?

If any partaker in a religion cannot answer those questions with the right answers or don't know the answers, then you have been an ignorant participant.

Plus, it is easy for you to fall for Bull**** , because you have fallen for a religion that you do know nothing about. Nor have you done any research since joining up. Which is foolish, because, if you don't have that kind of info and you recommend it to someone else, then you are the blind leading the blind.
"66": I meant transliterated. Copying the doctrine word for word in another language.

1. Abraham.
2. Abraham, Moses, Aaron, Maimonides, Nachmanides, Hillel, others...
3. Hebrew. Yes, I can understand it.
4. I don't need to translate it into English, it's just fine the way it is.
5. Nope, not ignorant.
6. Didn't fall for bull****.

Have a nice day. :)

I know some....for my people, in 988 the king ordered everyone in the country to be baptized in the River, and it became an official Christian country.

The King was St Vladimir the Great. He sent out emissaries to various places to figure out which religion to adopt, because he was tired of the Viking way, which required that if he died, his entire household had to be buried with him. He thought killing someone to be with you in the next world was stupid.

Um...I'm not versed in my native language. I'm 2nd generation on my mom's side and 3rd generation on my dad's.

Your question is long. I may come back to it later.

Well no religion here, just relationship. That's hard to understand for some.

Relationship with my God started at the beginning of time. When God first created man. Man had a perfect relationship with Him.

I would call it ignorant to not participate in the wonderful relationship God offers. He did give you a choice cause He's not into creating robots and such. The wonderful thing about God is that He speaks everyones language so there is no need for translation on my part. He did create language you know. Ever heard of the Tower of Babel?

"That is why it was called Babel - because the Lord confused the language of the whole world." Genesis 11:9

Believe it or not.

Non-Hindus, have you ever thought that Hinduism always essentializes violence? Do other religions propagate the culture & ideology of violence? Religious reformers or prophets like Buddha, Christ & Muhammad did not use violence to conquer the hearts of people. Muhammad might have conquered other people, but that was to bring the word of God, not to rule or subjugate them. Consider his time, the society was then violent, & like Christ many of his followers suffered persecution. Also, Buddha & Christ sought to establish peace & love. But in Hinduism, every god & goddesses have weapons in their hands. Swastika, the Brhamana symbol, is actually a weapon, a sharp edged discuss (chakra). Ramayana & Mahabharata are stories of bloody wars. Has this violence-centred spirituality set the Hindu society backward?
Hindu gods all have weapons in their hands! Indra the Sky god, Varun the wind god, krisna the Cow god, Brahma the fire god all have weapons... are they warmongering ?

I am a Christian and first I would like to say that my own personal demonstration of my faith originated with me, as I am not identical in faith to anyone else.

As for the origin of Christianity, I have been researching it for most of my life, even when I wasn't a Christian. I have taken the time to educate myself in Greek and Hebrew so I can possibly understand scripture better. I am educated in the good and bad within Christianity since the beginning.

Wow!

The Guide to Intelligent Insults says the same could be true for those of the atheists persuasion.

Good thing I don't read that book.

God love you!

MOST ppl havent looked that deep.
I think I've looked into mine pretty thoroughly though

It began in the Enlightenment of the 18th Century. Many of the Founding Fathers were followers and writers of it, including Jefferson and Franklin. I believe in started in England or France, and no, I haven't studied any of it in French, nor do I have a desire to learn a fifth language (and you mean "translated", not "transliterated" which has to do with changing alphabet to alphabet and not language to language).
Since we have no sacred scriptures, I don't feel it too imporant to know any further details.
