im 16 and looking to buy a jeep wrangler and it has 111,000 miles on it. its 6k so i need help. thx

I just had a Jeep wrecked with over 130 K miles on it. The engine was going strong and no major problems with it. Just have it checked over by a good mechanic before buying it.

all depends on how you treat the engine. If you beat on ANY car/engine, it wont last. under normal conditions a jeep enigne should last WELL over 100k, if not 200k. they are made for war.

if it is a 4.0 I6 then if properly taken care of they will last easily 200K+
i work at a jeep dealer at a tech and it is not un common for them to last that long.

well it depends on how it was cared for many motor will run into the 400,000 range but parts to break with them all and no one can tell you when.... just check any and every car out really well for signs of problems... walk a round it looking for dents and dis color look at tires for uneven wear look under it for wet spots look at tail pipe for black any signs no get it... open hood check all the fluids any low dont get it... crank it and listen to how it cranks and if theres any ticking or knocking dont get it... then drive it 30 minutes checking hoiw it takes off and brakes how it steers... check all the buttons and switches... if you have any questions dont get it find any of these signs dont get it.. dont look at miles but what kind of shape its in...could have a new car with low miles but used to drag race and be junk .. looking for signs of care will keep you rolling longer jeeps are great but parts do wear most are easy to fix
