How many miles can you get on a full talk of gas in 2001 Chevy Malibu?

I just bought a 2001 Chevy Malibu and my sister drove it last week and said she got 360 miles on a full tank, but I was at 290 and the orange light came on. Does anyone know what it should get on a full tank?
