im looking at a 1989 jeep xj it has the 4.0 liter inline 6 engine (inline 6 engine "I6" NOT a "V6" it has 185 thousand miles on it, it was bored .30 over about 10 thousand miles ago, there was no piston problems or anything (so the guy claims) he just wanted more horsepower out of it, he claims the inline 6 engine is good up to 350 thousand miles, but i dont think that seems right, can somebody help me out please? should i buy the jeep? how many miles can i get out of the engine? ( i can repair basic problems on an engine, but nothing too big, so i guess im wantin to know how many miles that engine can run before it blows up and im stuck spending thousands of dollars?) a ga-zillion points to the best answer
