I have a mechanic that is telling me that it would take 18 hours. which is 900.00 in labor?? I believe that sounds a little outrageous
I want to add that I just put a remanufactured motor in this jeep and the night i took it away from the mechanic shop it started to climb in temperature. I heard a gurgling noise behind the dash and the mechanic told me that it was air in the cooling system. Well he told me how to purge the air out of the vehicle so I did. That didnt work but the temperature was fine for two days. Then I left work and noticed some white smoke coming from my exhaust and it turned out to be that it had been either a blown head gasket or cracked head and the mechanic is working on it as we speak to break it down and the price is 900.00 for labor of the job. I just cant figure out what could have happened with a new engine and it overheating the first night. How many of you think that its the mechanics fault and what caused this to happen?
