How Many Hours Should I Dedicate Weekly to Be a Good Photoshop Designer?

I'm thinking to take Photoshop design course soon. I would like my designs to be elegant. How long does it take to be an expert? Just give a assumption.

I always found that a design with simple touches and one word such as iFly is very attractive and astonishing. Is it just me?
 
um i am a photoshop proffesional i work with it everyday and i would say about 50 hours a week.
 
I'd say just learn the basics and search for tutorials on the internet. I taught myself photoshop over the past 5 years by just playing around, asking friends, asking teachers, and just searching for tutorials!

Also, once you have the basics down, its better just to go and study the designs that are similar to the kind you want to create. That way you can incorporate those ideas into your designs!
