All of my issues really came to me recently, around October 2008. But, I do recall however that I used to get feelings of gastritis up to 2-3 months before that. I would only get it in the mornings, and as soon as I ate, the feelings would be gone.

Do most of you who have had the endoscopy done also get told that you have gastritis (whether mild or severe)? I also remeraber I was stressed about 1-2 months before the GERD acid really hit me.

It seems a lot of us heve stress induced acid reflux. My Drs nurse keeps telling me...this didn"t come overnight and it won't go away overnight. Well, to me it seemed it came from one day to the next.

I was told I have Mild Non Specific Gastritis which they don't know how I got it. Doc explained that it is like I have a wound but you don't know how you got the wound. I have a feeling mine could be stress because I had all these nerve wracking test and waiting for results I kept thinking the worst.

So the doctor never treated me for it. What do it for it? Does it cause nausea or indigestion? I still have lots of anxiety so I am working on that which causes my stress.

I just know that I had the gastritis before the reflux. The gastrtis I would calm down simply be eating something. Now that Acid Reflux is in the picture as well things have become much more complex.

Well, I have various symptoms that are hard to pin down.

1. Acid that was reaching my throat (currently being suppressed by Nexium)

2. Frequent burping all the time

3. Pain right in the middle (Where the xyphoid process is)

4. Pain in the back ribs area

5. Loss of weight

6. Off-balance feeling (which I hesitate to put as it's prob. not related to the rest)

*And that's the only ones I can think of right now

i've had gastritis for six months. it's worse in the mornings, when on an empty stomach or when even partially dehydrated.

this gives me terrible gas after meals (all), worse when it's high in protein or fat.

also had pancreatis and still test high for lipase, despite not being a heavy drinker. could this be pointing to my gallbladder? have had 2 ultrasounRAB which showed nothing.

yes, definitely had small bouts of gastritis before any sign of gerd or acid ever came on.
