I am looking at this drawing of a chromasome. The DNA has already replicated so its two sister chromatids, attached at the centromere.
But the centromere are numbered "1" and "2" on either side of the black dot (that is ussually used to represent a centromere)..
are there actually two centromeres, strictly speaking?
