how long would it take to bicycle from chicago to st. paul (about 400 miles)?

I'm thinking about 40 miles a day would take about 11-12 days?
Is this realistic? also what is the best bike to use and does anyone know any websites that give good trail information?
I'm planning on riding for a fundraiser.
