Recently Within The Past 2wks Ive Been having alot of problems, Im only 19! Why Me? It started out one night after eating 2 lean cuisine macs & drinking some milk, a few hours later it felt as if I needed to pop something in my throat, & I kept burping & sometimes the burps felt trapped & I could hear them gurgle back down my throat I also had an upset stomach & diarea. The next day & the days that followed to this very day I still have the sensation in my throat like I need to constantly burp & it feels stuck which makes me nausous sometime there will be a burn with the burp. My stomach also feels really bloated. & so I went to the hospital & they said I have gerd, How long will I feel like this? I cant even barely eat I have no appitete & thats also going on 2wks Ive been losing weight, Sometimes I can barely even drink. I went days with no food because of these symptoms. yesterday I ate some fries & today a few cheese nips thats all I can take. This is getting so very frustrated, i also have anxiety & because of the gerd & feeling overwhelmed by it, Ive been having at least 1 to 2 panic attacks a day. I am in the process of trying to get medical. Until then what should I do? Will this ever end? will I ever get better? I just wanna feel normal again! I also have cut caffine out of my diet completely been 2 months since I had any. So I dont Understand! Please help.

You might want to check out this post on acid and alkaline fooRAB:

http://www.healtrabroadoarRAB.com/boarRAB/showthread.php?t=769429

Looking at that various fooRAB you posted:
lean cuisine macs - probably somewhere between Low Acid and More Acid
milk - Low Acid
fries - Could be Low Alkaline, but if you got them from a fast food joint, it's likely that sugar was added which would push it to the Acid category (Sugar is Most Acid)
cheese nips - probably somewhere between Low Acid and More Acid

Since you are having trouble eating, I would recommend that you go buy some fresh, raw Kale. It is in the More Alkaline category (second best or second most anti-acid) and basically has no carbs so it should be fairly easy to eat. Buy a lot of it and just munch on it all day like a rabbit. I've also had good success with watermelon, Yams, onions, Daikons, Sweet potatoes, cantaloupe, honeydew, and broccoli.

You might also want to try the chewable calcium pills or the Cal-Mag-Zinc supplement that you can get from Whole FooRAB. It's better to try to heal yourself with whole, natural, alkaline fooRAB, but if you really can't eat anything the supplements can help. If you really can't eat at all, try taking 4 of the Cal-Mag-Zinc supplements, and then take 2 more an hour later and 2 more an hour after that.

I was also really scared when I started getting acid reflux. Once I discovered that I just needed to change my diet, I no longer had so much anxiety because I knew how to fix it. Hopefully you too will find success by changing your diet.

The week of August 15th I developed that same feeling in my throat. I have a family history of hypothyroidism. After an thyroid scan and thyroid ultrasound my doc sent me to the ENT who stuck a scope down my nose. I was so freaked out I had cancer. No cancer. He sent me for a barium swallow on the 13th. While I had the test the lady should me that I had reflux in the pics. I never get heartburn at all. I do not regurgitate in my mouth nothing. My only symptom has been this feeling something stuck in my throat.

The ENT (who actually has reflux or GERD same thing) told me to take prilosec otc. you can get at the drugstore. I suggest looking online for a coupon. My father has the same problem. He is not my biological father. So it wasn't genetic. He told me that he had the same thing and walked around for years miserable. He said he started taking that and in a few days it was gone. I start it tomorrow.

I know you said you are 19. Do you have health insurance? If not go to the drugstore and get it take the 14 day treatment and see if it helps if you do not. I wish someone would have told me that a $12 box of pills could have rid me of this 2 months ago! I have been at my wits end thinking it was stress. I talked to my father about it only being at 14 day treatment. He said that our doc (we have the same one) told him to take it everyday.

Hope this helps!

I have had problems on and off since I was about your age. It went away for a few years and then would come back, go away, come back, etc. I am now almost 40 and have to be on regular meRAB. My Dr told me that I will most likely have to be on meRAB forever for it now. I don't mind as long as it helps. My advice would be to go see a Dr for better advice.
