How long will Pontiac be making parts for their cars?

I'm interested in purchasing a Pontiac Vibe but I'm concerned about maintenance down the road as far as parts availability. Can anyone link me or tell me more about how GM is handling Pontiac and it's products? So far all I've read are conflicting hearsay statements.
Also, I've been reading that the Vibe is basically the same as a Toyota Matrix, does that mean the parts are interchangeable?
 
I am fairly certain that parts are supposed to be available for 10 years by law. Most of the maintenance stuff can be bought at an auto parts store by an aftermarket company forever.
