How long will it take to get from Garden Grove to LAX?

Any locals out there that can help me out? I am driving from Garden Grove on Saturday night to LAX and need to catch an 8pm flight AND drop off a rental car that's 1.5 miles from the airport and then shuttle over. What time do I need to leave by? I am REALLY hoping 5pm is OK. THANK YOU!
