How long will a pre mixed protein shake last in the fridge before becoming ineffective?

For the last 6 months or so I have been working out with weights and taking whey isolate protein powder mixed with milk as a supplement, one scoop a day after working out. 30lbs of fat down so far, and good results with lean muscle development and endurance ( was a total WOW playing couch potato ).

I would like to be able to take a second shake to work with me in the morning to have at first break, maybe even combine the powder and milk the night before in my sealed shaker/bottle to save time in the morning. Will the protein break down after time or turn the milk in some way? Are there any disadvantages to preparing whey isolate beforehand?

My new job is in a wood shop full of old timers and hard cases, so pulling out that big bucket of chocolate powder and scoop would result in endless ribbing and just stand out too much, never mind being awkward and time consuming in a very cramped and unsanitary lunch room.

Any info would be helpful, former couch potatoes unite!
