how long will a honda accord last? and how much to maintain?

hey, i am looking to get my son a car when her turns 16. i am looking to get a used honda accord. i see some that have 110K miles and i want to know how many miles could he get out of it? he drives a lot (about 30,000 a year). so how many miles apprx.? since it is used it do not know how it was treated but.... also i am looking to buy from carmax are they good or not? and about how much is it to fix a honda and to keep it maintained i know all cars have problems so will a honda be cheap to repair? thanks
