How long should I recharge my Panasonic AA batteries?

I'm using a Sony charger - only because I can't afford to keep buying every Brand name charger out there for everytime I buy batteries.

But my question is, how long is an appropriate time to keep them charging? I don't want to over-charge them. The package says to never charge more then 24 hours, which obviously I wouldn't but.

More information about the batteries (on the battery itself):

Ni-MH Up to 2450 mAh
Panasonic
Rechargeable AA
HHR-3XPA 1.2V

From new you would charge them for app 14 hours, after that normally about 2 to 6 hours depending on how much you run them down. Make sure your charger is capable of charging the Ni-MH batteries. Also that type of battery does not have a "memory" so they can be topped at at any stage of discharge.
