The key to cardio success is "progression" rather than starting out doing 60 mins. Why? because IF we start out using 60 mins, where do we go from there when fat loss stalls? 90 mins? 120 mins?
Start out with 30 mins 3x per week. Each week add 1 more day to the mix. Do that until fat loss stalls. Then add 10 mins to each session. Do that until fat loss stalls. Then add 10 more mins to each session. Etc etc
But remember, cardio and exercise does not burn many calories. 1 hour of cardio and you can expect to lose 300 calories maybe? That's 1.5 apples. Not very much. This is why changing our eating habits is so important. I'm talking 80% of the answer important. It is very very difficult to outwork a bad eating plan. Eating only "healthy items" can also be a bad eating plan IF you aren't getting in the proper nutrients. Meaning, up your protein and healhty fat intake. Lower your carbs too. American consumes way too many carbs in relation to their daily activities. If you're an olympic athlete or nba basketball player, then go ahead and eat a ton of carbs. everyone else should lower them.
good luck
