How long for microchip / innocculation wound to heal?

My cat had two shots (rabies, distemper), and a microchip injection all in the same area near the shoulder blades on November 20. That area is still red and sore, with fur sticking to exposed area. The reddish area is about the size of the tip of a pinky finger. Is this normal? How long should this take to heal? I intend to ring my vet tomorrow, but want to be sure things are ok.
