How long does someone have to contact you/claim if you reverse into a parked car?

I reversed into a parked car 2 weeks ago. there wasn't much damage, just a minor fender bender really. Anyway, I offered to pay for the damage rather than it going through the insurance but the woman hasn't contacted my about it yet. I'm wondering if there's a time limit really. I mean, I don't want a couple of months to go past and then received a bill through the door. thanks for any help.
