How long does it take to receive mail at navy boot camp?

I started sending my boyfriend letters as soon as I got his address at bootcamp, which was when he was there for 1 week. I sent him 1-2 letters per week since then, but in his letters to me he says he didn't get any of my letters yet. How long does it take for recruits to get their mail after you send it? I live in NJ if that matters.
