How long does it take to install a stereo in a car? ?

My boyfriend got a new stereo one of those cool flashing lights one for the car, and he is going to get it installed at a shop somewhere, i was wondering how long the average time it is to install? Because i was planning on going to a movie that night so i would like to be able to plan my night
