My ex and her mother have tried to say "my son isn't really mine", despite the fact that I'm the only one she's been with, and she had no chance to be with anyone else. [She only left the house with me or her parents] I have a hearing for the test on Thursday [13th], and I was wondering how long it would take to get the results, and what factors may affect it.

Same issue happened with my fiance, thank god it was not his, and this is what happened. They had the hearing, he was ordered to go to test on a certain day. If he didn't show for the test the court will automatically claim him as the father, even if no biological. Then we waited for two weeks to a month for the answer, before I said yes to him about our marriage, so it is stressful. The document they send to your home will state if you are the father or not and what to do from there. If you are not the father they will drop you from the case and continue with the girl to find the father. Good luck!

It depends on where you get it done, and if they test it at their facility or if they send it off to a lab somewhere. Could be less than a week, could be six weeks. If its court ordered, you might get the results sooner.

(I really admire you, by the way, most men asking about paternity suits are saying the kid isn't theirs.....)
