the other answers here are good ... it really depends on how you feel about it. I change my oil based on what it looks like which is extravagant ... but that is just me. If you drive really hard in those few miles, that might be another consideration ..... as for me I usually only go about 3,000 miles and I change my oil.
On the other hand I know a guy who thinks he can go 75,000 miles and be OK. (I am serious ... seventy-five-thousand miles) Nooooooooooooooooooo ..... no way. You can not go 75,000 miles and not have big problems.
He is walking now, by the way ... seems his car died.
I would say 3,000 miles is safe depending upon your driving style, etc,
