I donated blood today and was given a sheet with precautions. One of them said to keep the bandage on and dry for the following five hours and to not do heavy exercising or lifting. So I waited patiently, but when i took them off blood slowly seeped out of the puncture where the needle went in. I put a band-aid on. Is it normal for it to bleed or should it have closed by now (then)?
How long does it take for a vein to heal after you've donated blood?
