my boyfriend just left for boot camp today (fort Liner-wood, Missouri). i believe that he will graduate boot camp sometime in september, but after that he has to go to AIT, which is also at fort Liner-Wood. he is studying to be a combat engineer. how long until he will come home?ooh and CAN he call me?

Job training for Combat Engineers requires 14 weeks of One Station Unit Training, which includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training.

Ft. Leonardwood aka Ft. Lost in the Woods.

He won't be able to come home till after his training. He may get a call here and there depends on his COC (chain of command).

It is Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Basic is usually 10 weeks, and he probably won't have time to call although he can write letters.

AIT for a combat engineer is about 6 weeks long. Ditto for that too on the phone calls.

Just patiently wait, and if you can't handle not talking to him for long periods of time, you should get a different boyfriend. Military life isn't all that easy. Especially if he gets deployed.
