am cooking them in the oven with bbq sauce on them
i want to cook them in the oven and they are pork ribs

Low and slow--6 hours @ 220F, covered. They're better to me if you start 'em out on the grill first to seer 'em and to give 'em some smoke flavor. If yer gonna gunk e'm up with sauce, do that after they're done. I'm a fan of just s & p.

this depends on what type of meat you are cooking and how much they weigh.....the best way to cook rib i have found is boil in water with a full can of beer for and hours then bbq for 10 minute on medium and baste with your favorite bbq sauce...

250 in the oven wrapped in foil for 2 1/2 hours. then remove the foil and broil the top to caramelize all of the sugars. Alton Brown swears by this and so do I!
-this is for baby back ribs of course the best kind

Put the BBQ sauce on near the end, That gives the best flavor.

The slower you cook them, the more tender they will be. I do it in a slow cooker @ low for 6 hours.

If you have to cook quickly you can do the oven @ 400 for 30 minutes, lower to 350, add sauce & cook another 30 minutes.

Make sure you let them rest for 10-15 minutes for the juices to settle before cutting them.
