How long do clutches in manual cars last in terms of years?

Was wondering how long a clutch should last in a manual transmission car in terms of time (i.e., years) instead of miles. I don't know much about cars, but I was told that the average lifespan of a clutch is about 90,000 miles, which is fine. But was wondering if the age of the clutch itself makes a difference (like maybe it breaks down a bit every year even if you don't use it due to weather, the elements, etc.).

So my question is, do clutches breakdown due to time itself? How long do they last in terms of time then if you drive about 6,0000 miles a year?
