How long did it take E50 to drop in price

I'm not sure what the starting point for the E50 was but I bought a non-camera version not too long ago for $216. I think the E65 will be in the high to mid 300's in a few months. I think at that point it becomes a real bargain. From the members who have it they seemed to be pretty satisified despite spending closer to 500. If your not desperate for one then I say wait it out.
 
E50 has dropped about 30% in price in about 3-4 months. n73 price drop has been even more actually. I really simply do not see the 'must have new' factor. Nowadays it is simply too much of a pain as competitive pressures force companies to rush products to market without adequate testing. In that sense I applaud Toyota's decision to delay new model launches by six months till most glitches have been ironed out.

My next phone may be the e65, but only after 6 months. Let Nokia get the manufacturing glitches sorted out both for hardware as well as software. No point in being stuck with slow / crashing phones. Or otherwise opt for s40/moto/se normal phones.
 
I really don't see Nokia rushing to put out an inferior product just to satisfy as you say, "competitive pressures". In fact, people have been waiting since I believe Sept of last year when this device (if in fact you are referring to the N95) was announced and it would seem to me that Nokia is taking all of the necessary time to insure a successful launch.
 
Actually the price of the E50 (for all colours) actually went UP when the metal black variant came out in December. At least that is what happened here in the UK.

After about 3 months of a phone being out, and the suckers have been fleeced, you should just buy or dont buy. Beyond that it doesnt change much - and new modesl come out which are more advanced or change the relativle value.
 
E50 actually has gone up here in UAE... demand is high...

from U$205, it has gone up to U$218 for the one without cam and the one with cam can go up to U$250
 
According to eBay: some people paid as low as $350 + shipping ($17) for E65 last week.

It should go for $300 - 350 within a month, excluding the Silver/Red one.

Yeah, I saw that auction...they used the 6110 communicator picture(which should throw up red flags immediately)...now the seller has it listed for 469.99

I wonder if the person who bought it for 350 got the right phone
