how long can young men go without having physical intimacy? how do they deal with it?

i often see younger men 32 and below, for one reason or another, went through years, eg 2 to 4 years without a girlfriend, and doesnt appear to pick up girls for one night stand ( based on what i can see). i often wonder how they did without going crazy?
 
Sex hormones intensity varies from one male to another.Some men never even have sex in their life time, and they don't have any problems.
