How long can i expect a Jeep Cherokee Classic to last?

I guess this all depends on you. For 5k, I would look into another car. If you have a particularly big family, go for a used minivan. Nobody likes those.
 
I am considering purchasing a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic with 102K miles on it. I live in a very small town and am buying locally. Everyone I talk to says the individuate that had it before me was very particular and took great care of it. How long can I expect this car to last. What are some common problems (if any) with this Vehicle? It is priced ad $5830 and I honestly cant see much wrong with it.
1.) I understand that things can go wrong on a whim, but lets disregard that fact.
2.) I don't know too much about cars.
3.) I am very good about doing regular maintenance. ( I currently own a 2000 Chevy cavalier that was a free car(not operational) with 56K miles on it and it just rolled over to 100k
