How long are NEW (unheard) voicemails stored?

One of my friends is ovrseas and left her phone at home and is not going to retrieve her vms until she gets home. I was wondering if any voicemails that are left for her will be there when she gets back. She will be gone 3 months. Are new, unheard voicemails held indefinitely, or like saved or already listened to vms, are they dumped after 3 weeks if you do not save them?
 
The storage times:
Regular voicemail: 14 days
Enhanced voicemail 21 days

Your friend might want to try one of the alternative voicemail systems such as YouMail or GotVoice. Search with Google.
