My boyfriend and I recently broke up after three years. Two and a half years ago (May of 2006) I drove his car through a bank drive-thru teller (on an errand for him, no less) and the rocker panel on the side of his car came off. I tried to get him to get an estimate so I could fix it, but he never bothered, nor did he submit it to insurance.
Now that we are broken up, he insists that I fix it. Am I legally obligated to do so after so long? (I live in Wyoming if that makes any difference).
For anybody who doesn't know what the part is, it's that little ledge on the bottom of the side of your car below the doors.
Well, it didn't just 'magically' come off. It got hooked on a sawed off pole on the island between lanes. It just ripped right off.
Maybe it's not called a 'rocker panel'. Any help?
Well, I don' t think he can put it back on now- it was dented so he stored it under the porch these last couple of years so it pretty much went to crap.
