How likely will I get a warning instead of paying the fine in court?

To make a long story short, I did a illegal right turn with my mom in the car and I was driving with my permit. When I was about to turn left at the next street, I was told to pull over and I received a ticket. I am to go to court about this in a week here is my side of the story.

-It took place at night. Hard to see signs around then.

-The purpose of driving that night was to know the area and the road better.

-Overall, I practiced safe driving, but I could not scan the signs well because it was dark at night.

Most likely the court will let you go on a warning, the next time it happens it will be a fine. I don't see why the polce officer gave you a warning...

Sorry, but I'd say based on what you give here that there is a 99% chance you're paying the fine. Pretty much the only time anyone gets off once they're in court for these things is if the cop was wrong. You're basically admitting you did it. End of story. No reason not to see the signs, even at night. That is what headlights are for.
