great civilizations? In my opinion, given the current trends and comparing them to societies in the past, it seems as though the 'cyclical' pattern of nature and/or history has doomed us to become another one of the great civilizations that failed after being at the pinnacle of power.
In your opinion, how likely is it that this will happen?
Zero. No chance. None whatsoever. This country has been in way, way worse times and have come out of it just fine.
Hitman: While I agree that since this country's conception we have seen worse times, there are prevalent issues that mirror those that other failed societies have faced as well.
And with the impending globalization of various systems (monetarily and governmentally), it seems as though there will be an absorption of global ideals into our system which would seemingly dissolve what it means to be "The United States of America"
