The riddle is:
My first is in ocean but never in sea, my second's in wasp but never in bee. My third is in glider and also in flight, my whole is a creature that comes out at night. What am I?

The answer is: an owl.

I already know the answer, but I don't get why that is the answer. Can someone please explain it to me?
 
think about the letters in the answer.
O is in ocean, but not in sea
W is in wasp but not in bee
L is in glider and flight
and an OWL comes out at night
