Lonely Dreams
A drift in the water,
a leaf in a pond,
a mother and her son,
a never dying bond.
A cloud in the sky,
the only one around,
but even if there's twenty,
not one makes a sound.
One foot tapping,
but no tap back,
a thought and a dream,
an old train on the track.
You see no one, hear no one,
all have left and gone,
an empty swing swinging,
on a lonely lawn,
and to think in all the silence,
with nothing but your thoughts,
all the empty houses,
in their lonely lots.
That all the lonely people, in a lonely time,
there's still one friendly song, on a simple wind chime.
Moral:
You may feel like all have left you,
and there is no hope,
just look to God almighty,
he will help you cope.
So when fears may come, do not run,
but look forward to the rising, of the Son.
