Gary: Hello and this is Gary Skip reporting for BBC OB here in the small town of Tollington. As you can see, just behind me are approximately seven diggers and other such machinery driving towards the local school situated at the heart of the town. I spoke to an extremely reliable council member earlier and he informed me that work was taking place which would create a new road through the centre of Tollington consequently demolishing the only local school. He explained that this would be a great asset to the town by providing much easier transport to and from Tollington, plus it would also increase tourism and send more money into the area.
However, as expected not everyone agrees with the council…
Anita: “I think it’s well tight cos that’s our school and we won’t have nowhere to go if they rip it down will we? I mean I don’t like school but that’s schools alright, I don’t wanna go to no other.”
Parent: “Well I’m not impressed. We weren’t even given any notice about this, are we just expected to find a new school now? How ridiculous.”
Local: “Tourism in Tollingtan? Hah! Personally I believe we should of voted on this.”
sorry i just wanted general opinions, does it sound ok for a tv new report?
